We wanted to reach out to let our patients know how we are responding to the outbreak of the coronavirus. Safety and infection control have always been our number one priority. The infection control procedures that we have used for the last several decades are effective in treating the coronavirus, when it comes to providing your dental care. To name a few of the things that we do- sterilization of instruments, using disposable barriers that are replaced between patients, disinfecting operatory surfaces between patients, and personal protection for Doctor and staff. The heightened concern for the coronavirus outbreak has been the concern for how quickly the virus might spread. If too many cases come at once, our medical system will be overwhelmed and will not be able to provide care for all. In attempting to reduce a rapid trajectory, the government has taken steps to try to slow the spread. Many organizations have canceled public events or closed public spaces in order to reduce people contact and create social distancing. For our part, we are looking at areas other than the treatment rooms to limit any potential exposure or contact. With this in mind, we are implementing the following steps:
1. We will wipe down common touch areas around the waiting area and business counter regularly with disinfectant.
2. Pens will be disinfected.
3. We will adhere to social distancing in the waiting room. Waiting room chairs will be spaced further apart. We will get you into the treatment room and have you wait there rather than the waiting room when possible.
4. We will make available hand sanitizer for patient use. Due the short supply, if hand sanitizer is not available, we can make available soap and water.
5. We ask that if you are feeling ill with a fever, cough or respiratory difficulty, that you reschedule your appointment.
Sincerely,Dr Brian Lavery DMD and Staff

Dr. Brian Lavery and his staff are excited to announce the addition of Dr. Kevin Mosmen to our practice. Dr. Mosmen has extensive experience in both sedation and implant dentistry. These areas will be his focus. He will help us to expand the range of services that we can offer you. For our patients who have put off treatment because they have been anxious or fearful, we can now remove some of the barriers by offering you with oral or I.V. sedation. We want to make it clear that Dr. Lavery is NOT retiring, and that Dr. Mosmen is being brought on for his speciality services. Additionally, to remove other barriers we have added a scanning x-ray machine that can take both panoramic x-rays and 3-D images. 3-D images of the jaw are important and necessary in determining implant placement. Having this scanner in the office allows us to treatment plan implants without delay. If you have put off needing dental treatment because of anxiety or are interested in looking at the possibility of dental implants, give us a call today to come in for a no obligation consultation and we can go over your options.
